Everybody loves a bright white smile and there are a variety of products and procedures available to help improve the look of your child's teeth.
Many people are satisfied with the sparkle their child gets from brushing twice a day with a fluoride paste, flossing one a day and regular cleanings at the pediatric dental office. However, if you decide that your child’s smile should be brighter, you should investigate the options.
Finding the Best Treatment
Schedule an appointment with us to learn whether whitening procedures would be effective and appropriate for your child. Tooth whitening is reserved for those pediatric patients with a complete set of permanent teeth. Whiteners do not correct all types of discoloration. For example, yellow teeth will probably bleach well, brownish teeth may bleach less well, and grayish teeth may not bleach well at all. Likewise, whitening may not enhance your child’s smile if he or she has had tooth colored filling as the whitener will not affect the color of these materials and they will stand out in the newly whitened smile.
